We blame our parents for a lot. Now we may be able to add vegetables to the list.
A study out of the University of Kentucky found that if you hate vegetables, it might be genetic. Some people may inherit a gene that makes bitter foods, like broccoli and Brussels sprouts, taste extra bitter. Almost unbearably bitter!

That gene could also be part of the reason you don’t like other bitter things, too like beer, coffee, and dark chocolate. But that means if you like any of those. You can’t use the excuse for not eating your veggies.
