ANDREW COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Friday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1995 Dodge Dakota driven by a 27-year-old Savannah man was northbound on U.S. 169 near Brookwood Way one and one half miles north of St. Joseph.

The driver was distracted by a hand held device and the pickup rear-ended a 2004 Toyota Corolla driven by a 40-year-old Savannah woman who was waiting to west.

Andrew County EMS transported Toyota driver to Mosaic. The pickup driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
