HOLT COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m.  Tuesday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Ram 2500 driven by a 52-year-old Kansas City, Missouri man was northbound on Interstate 29 four miles south of Mound City. The driver lost control of the vehicles towed unit and he overcorrected. The pickup  traveled off the east side of the road, jackknifed, traveled down an embankment.

Atchison-Holt ambulance transported the driver to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
