The Missouri Western Lady Griffons advanced to the MIAA Tournament semifinals after a 77-68 overtime victory against the Fort Hays State Tigers.

Mia Morel led Missouri Western with 32 points and set a new Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Women’s Basketball Tournament record with 36 shot attempts in the game.

Missouri Western improves to 15-15 on the season. Fort Hays State drops to 24-5 but is expected to continue play in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The seventh-seeded Griffons will face either third-seeded Washburn Ichabods or sixth-seeded Pittsburg State Gorillas in the semifinals Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
