
A press release from the City of St. Joseph says two shooting incidents were reported in the past couple days.
The first incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on March 11th, when officers with the St. Joseph Police Department responded to a report of multiple shots fired in an alley of the 3000 block of St. Joseph Ave.
A juvenile was struck by gunfire and taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
An adult male was also struck by gunfire and was taken to Mosaic Life Care with Critical injuries but is in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
As of this time, the suspect(s) are not in custody. This incident is believed to be isolated and there is not a known risk to the public.

The second incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. on March 12th, when officers with the St. Joseph Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance with possible shots fired the area of the 300 block of W. Rosine Street.
No injuries were reported from the shooting.
A white male suspect was taken into custody.
The incident is believed to be isolated and there is not a known risk to the public.
Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
