ATCHISON COUNTY—A boy was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Atchison.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by Talia M Rawls, 26, Atchison, was southbound on Hickory Street through the intersection at M Street in Atchison. The car struck an eastbound bicycle driven by  Elihah Eylar, 12, Atchison, who failed to yield right of way.

EMS transported Eylar to Amberwell Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.  Rawls was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
