ATCHISON COUNTY —Police arrested a 14 year old boy on Thursday on requested charges of aggravated assault that occurred in the 1100 block North 7th Street in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.

Just after 5p.m. Thursday, police investigated a disturbance that had occurred in a park between two boys ages 13 and 14.

During that disturbance the 14 year old threatened the 13 year old with a knife and a crowbar, according to Wilson.  That investigation led to the arrest of the 14 year old boy. He was transported to a juvenile detention facility.
