The Pony Express Museum will host a special family fun event, starting this Friday, with musical performances and opportunities to gather and play some chess and checkers

Circle the Wagons: Music with Ben & Dorothy will be held this Friday, May 1st through July 11th at the Pony Bar, or the Goetz Museum, featuring Dick & Mignon’s Soda Shop at 1224 S. 10th St in St. Joseph, with musical performances happening every 30 minutes with guitar and accordion from 10 am – 2 pm with a lunch break from 12 – 1 pm.

Ben will also offer chess time, allowing residents to come learn to play chess or play chess with Ben. Ben loves playing chess and has several wins to his credit.  Lunch will be provided by a sponsor, featuring Marek’s sandwiches with root beer or sarsaparilla drinks.

Admission for this event is free.  Floats and commemorative mugs will be available for sale.  Head downtown and join for some fun playing cards, checkers, chess, and shut the box games with music.
